If you are a lover of the net and are blind then I would much appreciate your help. I make websites for a living and have been to numerous seminars etc on usability and accessibility. I have, in the main, heard an awful lot of sighted people tell me how to cater for a blind audience. So, I would like for some blind people to tell me how they would prefer to be catered for! Please answer this questions with any pets hates and annoyances that hinder your browsing experiences.
Will all the ignorant people stop telling me that blind people cannot read my question. Educate yourselves - they use adaptive technologies to have web pages read to them. If they do have some degree of vision they use things like screen magnifiers.

I have 5 windows which are 58 1/2" x 58" I need blinds for them. The windows open to the side so they have to be vertical blinds. Home Depot and Menards don't have blinds which will work.
I see all kinds of internet blind sites, but i would prefer to buy them at a store.

I don't think you're going to have any luck just shopping for them in a store. JC Penney's will come to your home and measure and look through a book. As many blinds as I have bought, the horizontal ones come in all sizes, but not the vertical ones. Since you have 5 windows it would be best to have someone look through a book with you. I'm not sure if you want all the same or not, but you will be much happier, and they also install them for you, it will look so much nicer.
You will be surprised how reasonable the local stores are. Also try Sears and Lowe's.
I'm 41 single and have not been able to find a decent woman. I have tried internet, blind dates, dating services, singles dances, speed dating, church. nothing seams to work. I am tired of the games, unrealistic women looking for a fantasy man.
I don't know what to do anymore. I was recently dating a woman who was using me to make her ex jealous then she said she did not want to hurt me. the last thing i got was a short email "I can't do this anymore don't come to my house don't drive by my house, don't call don't email me." met through a dating service. To me a decent woman is some one i care for and cares for me. I am not looking for perfect either. she is 5 feet tall wears size 12 jeans and a large top.

From my experience... decent women are a rare breed. I gave up on relationships a long time ago.
