Seriously, lets get real here. Celtic will sorely miss their first-choice strikeforce. Maybe one of the two, but both ? Nah.
Maloney is not a striker and should not be considered ready, having hardly kicked a ball over the last year or two. He had a good game on Saturday but this is an old firm game. Samaras was allowed to leave a club who outbid AC Milan for Ronaldinho for coppers, Man City. They don't need money and could have held onto him and got twice the dosh from any number of cash rich English teams. I think they wanted rid of him as soon as possible. As for Killen getting on V Falkirk, I think that demostrates the severe limitations available to Strachan up front.
I would Killen getting on to Gow doing likewise for Rangers. Both players have been frozen out the first team picture, ask yourself why.
So my friends I have came to the conclusion that forecasts of Celtic winning, especially by the margins predicted by some, are a mixture of blind faith, and ambtion being confused with capability.
Or are we saying that the strikers available are as good as those injured ?
only if they have decent back up, and celtic dont

The Lions will also have new rules that apply solely to them to balance out the playing field:
When playing the Blind Academy , the Lions must not hide the football under their jerseys.
A touchdown (this is when the ball is carried over the goal line. For all you Lions fans that have never seen this) it is still worth 6 points.
The Lions will be awarded a first down with each gain of three yards or more, instead of the usual ten yards.
At least they’d have a shot at Thanksgiving with this scenario. I’m setting the over/under at 5 wins. Any takers?
I was going to say 5 wins, but I must have seen the wrong schedule before. Looking at you "official" schedule, I would say only 2 wins.
Theo walcott, englands wonder-mascot, might be old enough to play out after dark next time round. So we might have a chance. If McClaren can stop the defence giving the ball back to the other team straight away with 60 yard blind clearances will we keep posession long enough to get it to him? Never mind referees. On the whole they have ruinded the tournament with pointless bookings but, for england, this tounament imo was ruined by Svens lack of confidence in his team and lack of tactical skills. Maybe in the future they will be sent out to play toward the goal they need to score in, not the one they are defending. Maybe the players will make off the ball runs to create space. maybe we will take adequate cover up front next time round...BRING BACK VENABLES!!!
Venables did no better than any other England Manager. I still say the FA have made a mistake by appointing a manager from within the current England set up. They need a man with a bit of vision and passion. They also need someone who doesn't get too close to the bunch of preening 'superstars' that make up the current England squad. The lack of commitment in the team is endemic of the lack of discipline that occurs when a manager gets too close to his players. I think England would have done better to have let the dust settle from this fiasco - and make no mistake that is what it is - and then picked the right man for the job. But then that would have meant someone who doesn't always do his masters bidding.
I say no, cos there's a reason why he manages West Ham & Portsmouth / Southampton, while not achieving much (and getting them bankrupt in the process)
To tell the truth Im kind of scared he'll ruin us! Look at his signings this season, most of them look clueless! Martin Jol & Ramos made the best signings (Lennon, Modric, Bale, Pav, Corluka..etc)
And Redknapp?!! Kaboul FFS!!! He's intent in bringing the whole Pompey squad to Spurs. WTF!!! We might as well be called Portsmouth by now.
His signings:
Keane - Shouldn't have resigned him
Crouch - HAHAHAHA
He sent GIOVANI on loan. And Jamie O'hara. What a joke. And he sold Darren Bent. I know most of you don't rate him but I do. At least he's better than Crouch & Keane. Harrys' only good signings for me are Defoe (just cuts it), Kranjcar and Palacios.
Dont forget he has singled handedly ruined Pavlyuchenko, Gio..etc's career. i never got people saying harry 'brings the best out of players' anyway. Aaron Lennon.. everyone saw the potential and he was going to be great.
And tactically he is awful. He doesn't know when to make subs. Two humiliating defeats (or 3, I should say) in Wolves and Stoke, and he still has the same tactics/ team. What's even more worrying is that we had 9 games this season in which we havent scored a single goal.
Worst of all he's turning us now into a long ball team. If he denies it then he really is as blind as a certain other North London manager. I'd rather us lose but still play that passing football - but now we're losing AND playing the long ball game!!
Finally he talks too much. If it isn't about other teams, especially Arsenal (claiming we could finish above them LOL), it's his 'two points from 8 games', 'one of those days' speeches. Frankly I think we all are tired of hearing that. Or more recently saying we could finish THIRD. And then we lose to WOLVES. That's quite embarassing. I've got one for you Harry... ONE WIN FROM SEVEN!!!
IMHO Harry is a good manager for getting teams out of relegation, but not as Top 4 contenders.
Oh and fellow yids, you do know Harry can go down for the tax thingy? If so, who would want to see? I wouldnt mind Martin Jol back, but thats impossible I know :(
Well hes aiming for a top 4 finish with spurs but tbh i think villa or liverpool will fill that 4th spot - the thing about spurs is they can play beautiful football when on form but then the next week lose to a team like wolves or hull or stoke - consistency is their biggest problem and it must boil down to the players not been hungry enough for the top 4 and bad coaching
Also another thing about redknapp i notice is during a match he never communicates with his players - he just sits there with a droopy looking face on him looking like he does not care - in yesterdays match it was joe jordan spurs assistant manager was shouting at the players instructing them while harry just sat there doing nothing - he is the only manager i see that just sits down during a game and does not communicate with the players and that is not a good sign from a manager .
Some of his decisions like playing crouch instead of Pav who is quality and shipping keane who is also quality off to celtic on loan and never hardly ever playing him when he was with the club is just bizarre - hes a strange guy that redknapp .
I think spurs will finish in 6th or 7th place this season and if they are to be serious about top 4 next season they need to get rid of redknapp and get a quality manager in because redknapp is nothing more than a midtable manager at most in my opinion and he is always involved in corrupt financial dealings and not a good representative of any club for that reason also
I believe so. The titans are my team but Im not blind as to what I see. I been a titans fan for 10 plus years (even when they were the oilers). Im seeing the same crap as I did when they went through a couple of rebuilding seasons about 4 or 5 years ago. Their still running the ball on every d*mn play thinking that Chris Johnson will "magically" phase through blockers and get a touchdown, even on 3 and whatever they run the ball like idiots. All of our recievers are useless with butter fingers. Our quarterback is old and falling apart (if farve can come back and still capitallize why cant collins). Our back up QB is inexperienced and impatient which causes him to throw interceptions and go commit suicide (not to mention he thinks he's a running back). And last our coach, who dont get me wrong is a great coach, but is VERY old fashion about the way football should be played. Running the ball and "regular" (by regular I mean no creation, trick plays, etc...everything is generic and easy to read by the opposing teams defense). They rely WAY to much on freakin field goals (Rob Bironas is the oldest player in the league and gets more playing time thatn any other kicker....CMON when does the kicker get a lot of playing time.....a better question would be WHY IS THE KICKER GETTING A LOT OF PLAYING TIME.....could it be that we are not getting in the endzone jeff,,,could be dont ya think). The defense never gaurd the reciever on the other team, when the other team gets the ball they just throw it down the field with quick passes or long passes AND they are ALWAYS in front of our defenders, next thing you know the other team is at goal line on a 3 play drive. AND thats EVERY time the other team gets the ball. The opposing team shouldnt score everytime its their turn to have the ball. The main thing though is that they fall to the same trap EVERY season, its like they just cant comprehend on learning your lesson. If the offense goes out and and waste 3 downs and only got 6 yards out of 3 plays everytime the offense goes out onto the field and have to always punt, you would think "HEY THIS ISNT WORKING HOW ABOUT WE CHANGE IT UP". The offense stays on the field 30 seconds everytime and the defense has to go back out there for 7 to 9 minutes...THATS WHY THE DEFENSE IS SO TIRED BECAUSE THE OFFENSE CANT DO THEIR JOB. You would think fischer would see that. I just wonder what goes on at those practices or those talks they give before the game, after the game, and at halftime. The schedule is not going to get any easier either. Indiapolis, Arizona, New England, etc. If we cant beat the first 4 teams we are not going to start now. The season is already done for them, their 0-4. The only way they can come back is if they win every game from now on and thats a very very long shot. They just started to be a feared team in the nfl with the 13-3 last season, now every team see's them as the underdogs they once were and an easily beatable team. They are still my team, I been with them through bad times before, but like I said..Im not blind. I see a 0-16 season. What do you think?

Wow, I'm a Jaguars fan and I would love to see the Titans go winless but stop being so goddamn negative about your team. Leave that to opposing team's fans. The Titans still have a top 5 rush defense and one of the best RBs in the NFL. Sooner or later, that's going to lead to a win. The reason they were so horrible today was because the Jaguars attacked their biggest weakness, their pass defense, which was also without Cortland Finnegan today. Plus, the Jaguars did a good job stopping Chris Johnson early and forcing the Titans to play from behind. They'll have better days. I can't imagine they'd lose to the Rams. Did you see how many points they scored today? Zero, for the second time in four games. They barely made it to 200 yds. The Rams truly are a horrible team.
Timpview teen makes name in sport for blind
In years past, Provo resident Peter Ashton wanted nothing more than to blend into the crowd. Though he was born visually impaired, he did his best to hide his disability so that he wouldn't be treated differently.
But the fact is, Ashton has never seen the world like his peers at Timpview High School. Before being adopted at age 4 from Calcutta, India, Ashton was born prematurely with retinopathy of prematurity, or ROP - a condition that occurs in premature babies when abnormal blood vessels and scar tissue grow over the retina. In Ashton's case, the condition left him with only peripheral vision in both eyes.
But attention found him in October 2009 when Ashton and the Utah Youth goal ball team won the youth national goal ball championship in St. Augustine, Fla. When Ashton was dubbed an All-American and the tournament MVP, the national spotlight was soon to follow. Just last weekend, nearly every media news outlet in town was there to witness the state goal ball tournament held at Crescent View Middle School in Sandy.
Goalball: a team sport for blind and visually impaired kids
Jingle! Jingle Jingle! On Your Mark-Get Set-Put On Your Blindfold - Go! While this may sound strange to people with sight, others who are blind or visually impaired are quite familiar with the jingle-bell sound of a ball and wearing a blindfold to play an active and strategic sport called goalball.
Christy Householter, an incredible goalball coach, who is also a wonderful teacher, orientation and mobility specialist, as well as a team leader for the visually impaired for Region 10 in Richardson, Texas is our local leader who instructs children and adults in this exhilarating game. She coaches local (ages 5 and up) and a national team (women's) in this highly competitive sport.
